Ever seen a red fox dive headfirst into snow? And guess why they do it? To catch their prey! 👀 Red foxes have a specialised hunting technique known as mousing. With this, they use their strong sense of hearing to pinpoint the location of the prey, jump into the air and then dive into large piles of snow at speeds of up to 4 metres per second to catch them by surprise.
