Since being drafted in the third round (76th overall) in the 2019 NFL Draft, McLaurin has played through the highs and the lows of the Commanders organization. He's caught passes from 11 different quarterbacks in a six-year span before Washington drafted quarterback Jayden Daniels in 2024.

Throughout his career with the Commanders, McLaurin has played in a total of 97 games. He has caught 460 passes for 6,379 yards and 38 touchdowns. In that time period, he has been one of the most underrated players in the NFL.
