The Prince of Wales, 42, went to Monaco on the south coast of France on Tuesday to watch his beloved Aston Villa play in the UEFA Champions League against AS Monaco. His solo appearance at the game comes after his wife Kate Middleton announced that she is in "remission" from cancer on Jan. 14.

Earlier today, Prince William had an official royal engagement in London, in which he visited homelessness charity Centrepoint. Just hours after his public appearance, the Prince of Wales jetted off to Monaco where he was photographed watching his favorite soccer team, Aston Villa, compete in the UEFA Champions League.

The Prince of Wales made a surprise appearance in Monaco on Tuesday, where he was spotted watching Aston Villa play in the Champions League with one of his closest friends and Princess Charlotte's godfather,

Kate Middleton and Prince William went on a discreet ski trip with their family over the New Year, and we, the people, are only just hearing about it. According to the Daily Mail, the couple “slipped away from their home at Anmer on the Sandringham estate shortly after Christmas” and spent several days in the Alps—where they were joined by Kate’s family.

In another sign of the progress she's making in her recovery following her cancer treatment, Kate Middleton apparently felt well enough after the holidays for one of her longtime favorite activities: Skiing.
