The Michigan Senate on Thursday approved a bill that amends the timeline of the minimum wage increase ahead of the new law going into effect next week.

A bill that would address a raise in the minimum wage, including how tipped workers are classified, is working it's way through the state legislature, with the Senate addressing concerns in a version that has been sent back to the House.
