T-Mobile is once again the best wireless carrier in the US. Ookla reports that T-Mobile has the fastest and most reliable 5G network. T-Mobile is preparing for its next big launch, with a satellite-based service that will go live in 2025.

Ookla published its latest Speedtest study for the second half of 2024 and the results aren’t too surprising. T-Mobile continues to reign supreme in speed, consistency, and availability for US consumers.

In the comments, users said they’ve noticed extra fees tacked onto their T-Mobile bills. One user wrote, “I was paying over $267 per month for two lines! It was outrageous!!” A second viewer commented, “Extra fees brought [my bill] to about $160 a month.” Other viewers asked when and if they could join the suit.

Shares of T-Mobile ( TMUS 7.30%) were on the move today, climbing after the big-three telecom operator posted better-than-expected results in its fourth-quarter earnings report. As of 10:37 a.m. ET, the stock was up 8.9%.

Benchmark analyst Matthew Harrigan raised the firm’s price target on T-Mobile (TMUS) to $275 from $255 and keeps a Buy rating on the shares,

The service is provided by BlueBird satellites from Vodafone's partner (and SpaceX rival) AST SpaceMobile. The system is based on five satellites and Vodafone calls it "the first and only mobile broadband network in space" that works directly with standard smartphones.
