Most New York Yankees fans fear Andy Pettitte will never make it into the Baseball Hall of Fame. The left-handed legend, however, has the biggest promoter in Cooperstown leading the campaign to get him in. Newly-elected Hall of Famer CC Sabathia made it clear to MLB.com’s Bryan Hoch that Pettitte belongs in the Hall.

The New York Yankees have two new members of the Hall of Fame. One, Ichiro Suzuki, had a short stint with the team and will enter Cooperstown with another uniform. The other one, CC Sabathia, was a prominent figure in the Bronx from 2009 to 2019 and won his only World Series title in pinstripes.

CC Sabathia was recently inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame on the first ballot, and now the left-hander feels that his former New York Yankees teammate and fellow southpaw, Andy Pettitte, should follow him in.
