If you’re looking to ring in the new year with some shopping at Walmart, you’re in luck. While Walmart closed early on Christmas Eve and was closed for Christmas Day, the popular big-box retailer will be open its regular hours on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day.

In the final hours of 2024, Walmart will be open for business as usual on New Year's Eve during normal hours. So, if you need last-minute ingredients for your New Year’s cocktails or toothpicks for appetizers, you'll have plenty of time to pick up everything you need.

Walmart locations are typically open until 11 p.m. on New Year’s Eve. Aldi is on reduced hours for the holiday, typically until 4 p.m. on New Year’s Eve and closed on New Year’s Day. Most Whole Foods locations will close early, around 7 or 8 p.m. on New Year’s Eve.
