The back to back champion Dodgers had a solid winter, but the Baltimore Orioles won the 2025 MLB Winter Meetings outright.
The Orioles had a 9.24% chance of hitting the jackpot Tuesday, but they instead landed right where they deserved to be.
The highest-paid first baseman in the MLB is Pete Alonso. The former longtime Mets first baseman is reportedly joining the Orioles on a five-year deal worth $155 million ($31 million a year). Alonso leap-frogged Blue Jays star Vladimir Guerrero Jr. for the top spot following news of his signing.
The Baltimore Orioles closed the gap in the AL East after adding Pete Alonso, putting the division among the toughest in MLB history.
