Cal Quantrill pitched five shutout innings and Matt Mervis hit a pair of home runs to help the visiting Miami Marlins beat the Atlanta Braves 4-0 on Saturday and even their three-game series at a game apiece.

Miami first baseman Matt Mervis tallied his first two homers of the season in his first career two-home run game as the Marlins evened the series with a 4-0 win over the Braves on Saturday. Mervis put the Marlins up 2-0 with a two-run blast in the first and his seventh inning solo shot gave Miami a 4-0 lead.

MiamiMarlins first baseman Matt Mervis homered in the top of the firstinning to put his team up 2-0, then added an insurance run in the seventh with a 421-foot solo blast that put the game at 4-0, which was the final score in Saturday's win over the Braves.
