Former Lackawanna County Commissioner Matt McGloin has now reportedly turned down a Boston College coaching position after resigning as county commissioner to take the job, a county spokesperson said.

McGloin, 35, was elected to the Lackawanna (Pa.) County Board of Commissioners in November of 2023. He earned his term in January last year but resigned last week, likely to start his job with the Eagles. With McGloin's family located in Pennsylvania, it could have been that it was not the right time for McGloin to be in Boston.
