BLOOMINGTON — Indiana football’s spring game is turning into an annual showcase for the team’s running backs. The Hoosiers had 33 carries for 178 yards with a touchdown in the offense’s 31-23 win over the defense. They combined for four carries of 10-plus yards and set up scores on multiple drives with explosive plays.

The Hoosiers went live in practice for the first time to put a bow on spring at Thursday night's scrimmage. The offense outpaced the defense 31-23 with backup quarterback Alberto Mendoza closing a strong day at the position between himself and his brother, Fernando.
