Buffalo Sabres color commentator Rob Ray didn't let a puck to the face keep him from doing his job. During Saturday evening's Buffalo home game against the New York Rangers, Ray took a puck to the face and audibly let out an NSFW reaction as soon as it happened.

That was the scene Saturday afternoon when Ray -- who spent 14 years as an enforcer for the Buffalo Sabres and now does color commentary between the benches during games -- was hit in the face by a deflected puck during the Sabres' afternoon matchup with the visiting New York Rangers.

Sunday’s game against the New York Rangers could hardly have gone better for the Buffalo Sabres, who came away with an 8-2 win. That said, we doubt the day went according to plan for Sabres analyst Rob Ray.

Buffalo Sabres rinkside reporter Rob Ray, who was hit by a puck last season, later showed off the "golf ball"-sized bump above his eyebrows.

The most recent Sabres Hall of Fame inductee showed off his trademark toughness when an errant puck smacked Rob Ray in the face during the first period of Buffalo’s 8-2 win against the New York Rangers on Saturday night at KeyBank Center.
