After weeks of rumors about the Sooners pursuing Ohio State defensive coordinator Jim Knowles, a report suggests that he'll be going elsewhere.

Penn State’s first-year DC directed a championship defense at Ohio State last season. His 2021 Oklahoma State defense put up extraordinary numbers. Knowles even has head coaching experience (Cornell).

Oklahoma has been linked to Knowles for the last couple of weeks, but the Sooners now face tough competition for Knowles’ services according to a report. Per FootballScoop, Penn State is prepared to offer Knowles $3.2 million annually.
