Despite many Republicans supporting year-round daylight saving time, Trump said last December that he wants to eliminate it. It’s not clear whether he meant to refer to standard time instead. Standard time is when it gets darker in the evenings earlier and daylight saving time is when it typically stays lighter longer.

Daylight saving time occurs between March and November, when most Americans adjust their clocks ahead by one hour.

We’re less than a month away from the annual ritual of changing the clocks and moving to daylight saving time.
