Shortly before being called back up to the Braves, Acuña homered in his first rehab game for the Braves’ Florida Complex League team on May 13. The four-time All-Star has been sidelined since last May when he tore his left ACL while taking a lead off second base during a game against the Pirates.
Until last night, it had been 362 days since Ronald Acuña Jr. last played in a Major League Baseball game. It had also been close to 600 days since he could last be counted among the very best players in the league.
