Corrections officers are protesting — and in some areas, holding unsanctioned strikes — as current and former COs seek to bring attention to what they say are unfair working conditions and restrictive laws that put their safety at risk.

ALBANY — Labor strikes at New York prisons continued expanding Tuesday as correction officers declined to go to work in least 20 facilities — and those that are showing up are allegedly being forced to remain in the facilities due to the staffing shortages.
