After making the blockbuster trade for Micah Parsons ahead of the 2025 season, the Green Bay Packers announced another roster move involving the four-time Pro Bowler following his season-ending ACL tear.
Coordinator Jeff Hafley is bullish about the Green Bay Packers’ chances of continuing to play quality defense even without star Micah Parsons.
Packers safety Evan Williams could miss multiple weeks with a knee injury, per ESPN, putting Green Bay’s interception leader in doubt.
If Parsons is indeed out for the remainder of the season, Green Bay will have to generate a pass rush with defensive ends Rashan Gary — who doesn't have a sack since Week 8 — Kingsley Enagbare (2.0 sacks) and Lukas Van Ness (1.5 sacks).
Despite all that, Jacobs still totaled 92 yards and two touchdowns while playing 36 of 66 offensive snaps (55%) in Denver. Backup running back Chris Brooks also suffered a chest injury against the Broncos that has him listed on the injury report as limited.
Packers coach Matt LaFleur said WR Christian Watson was taken to a Denver area hospital for testing on his chest injury.
