The New York Mets have brought up third baseman Mark Vientos in discussions as Thursday's MLB trade deadline looms, per SNY's Andy Martino.

The New York Mets have been discussing these young position players in trade talks for White Sox centerfielder Luis Robert Jr.

That seemed to position Vientos as the club’s third baseman of the future in spite of his lackluster work with the glove last season. Unfortunately for the Mets and Vientos, however, things have gone off the rails this year.
